Darryl E. Jones can best be depicted through the scripture found in Acts 11:24 as "a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith," and through him "a great number of people [have been] brought to the Lord."  He is a Kingdom Man who covets the continual infilling of the Holy Spirit as our Guide for everyday living.  He passionately teaches that God is a generational God who values relationship and cares for all people.

Pastor Jones continually prepares himself to be a sanctuary and ambassador for our Living God and Savior.  He encourages others to do the same.  His love for Jesus is undeniable and his thirst for the Holy Spirit is unquenchable.  He is a gifted pastor/teacher.

He graduated from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota with a B.S. in Political Science in 1982. He then earned a Masters in Christian Education from Bethel Theological Seminary in 1990. There he also received an Evangelical Teacher Training Certificate also awarded in 1990. He was ordained in 1983 at Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church in St. Paul, Minnesota and served for five years as youth minister at Zion Baptist Church from 1985-1990.

After graduating in 1990, God sent him to Southern California through the Baptist General Conference where he was appointed to plant a church in Long Beach, California called New Beginnings Baptist Fellowship. While in the process of planting this church he received a call to Fellowship Christian Community Church where he has served as Senior Pastor since 1993. He is thankful to God for the ministry and his opportunity to speak the Word in season and out of season for the past twenty years.

However, he is most thankful for the fruit God has given him through his wife, Gloria, of thirty-four years (also a graduate of Bethel Seminary). Together they have been given a unique gift and passion to minister to couples and families the truth and relevance of Biblical principles for abundant living. They have two daughters who are married with six grandchildren and a third daughter who lives in Los Angeles.

The God of all grace has consistently given Pastor Jones open doors in varying pulpits to preach and to edify the body of Christ. He also had the privilege of serve a two year term as chairman for the Pastor’s Bible Fellowship in Los Angeles, California.  Although he is grateful for these opportunities, in this season of his life he recognizes that God is not done with him yet!   As a servant of Christ and a steward of the mysteries of God, he looks forward to God continuing to use him in effective ministry.
